SHAM petitions for the removal of masts

Shooters Hill Against Masts (SHAM), a campaign set up by residents of Bushmoor Crescent SE18, is seeking your help and support in signing their petition to seek the removal of masts on Eaglesfield Road, Shooters Hill.

SHAM campaigners aim to persuade Greenwich Council to remove the masts away from residents' homes and you can help by keeping informed and signing the petition available from Chris Higgs at chris@higgs18.plus.com or George Tutheridge at elisabethravi@talktalk.net For more information call Chris at 020 7340 7179 (daytime) 020 8854 0352 (evening) and George on 020 8855 2755.

Shooters Hill Ward Councillor Danny Thorpe confirmed at a recent Eaglesfield Park Neighbourhood Watch Scheme co-ordinators meeting that whilst it appears impossible to take off what is already installed on the mobile and telecommunications masts, he is working with the council and SHAM to:

• ascertain what dishes have planning permission
• the emissions and bandwidth
• the impact of the conservation area rules and regulations

Why not do your bit to help petition to remove the masts.
